Meet Jodi

Jodi Mancini Rodriguez, LCSW (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Florida and the owner of Amethyst Therapy and Wellness, LLC. She has worked in the field of human services since 2013 assisting and supporting clients of all ages, from diverse backgrounds, to navigate and overcome a variety of life’s challenges. Jodi’s passion is trauma work, and her current focus is on adolescent and adult females as well as people identifying as LGBTQ+.

Jodi’s approach to mental and emotional health is both holistic–focusing on the whole person–as well as integrative–using a variety of theories and interventions, tailored to the individual. Some of these methods include Person-Centered Therapy, Brainspotting, Motivational Interviewing, techniques from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Safe and Sound Protocol, mindfulness, meditation, somatic techniques, and expressive arts techniques. Jodi is a feminist and approaches people through a strengths-based, trauma-informed lens. She enjoys incorporating her clients’ spirituality (if requested) as well as using humor and way-too-much profanity (when appropriate and appreciated, of course).

Jodi received a Bachelor of Arts in Human Services from Saint Leo University and a Master of Social Work with a clinical concentration from Florida State University. She is a Level 2 Brainspotting Practitioner and loves it! Prior to entering the field of psychotherapy, Jodi was a school counselor (providing coaching, psychoeducation, and advocacy) at an alternative school, and spent six years as a direct support professional/instructor assistant for adults with developmental disabilities. She has completed internships at community mental health and domestic violence organizations. Jodi is a trauma survivor, avid Netflixer, music fan, pizza lover, and a Cat Mom to two rambunctious kitties.
